Sanwo-Olu Okays Appointment Of  Two Tutors-General, Nine Perm Secs

Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has approved the appointment of nine Permanent Secretaries and two Tutors-General/Permanent Secretaries in the Lagos State Public Service.

A statement released by the Lagos State Head of Service (HoS), Hakeem Muri-Okunola on Thursday, said that “The appointments were based on merit, as appointees were selected from the pool of qualified candidates, sequel to the Executive Development and Screening Exercise for eligible Directors, which took place in April 2022.”
Muri-Okunola said that the appointees were picked from the pool of qualified candidates based on their competence in the task ahead.
The HoS was optimistic that the new appointees who are intelligent and qualified officers possess the qualities, competencies, and experience required to serve as permanent secretaries in the state public service.
The two directors from Education District III and IV appointed by the governor as Tutors-General/Permanent Secretaries are Osinaike Olusegun Olawale and Oyetola Idowu Olufunke.
The appointees include: Oyegbola Olasunkanmi Mopileola; Dawodu, Kikelomo Arinola; Toriola Abdulhafis Gbolahan; Abidakun, Olubusola Ajibola; Aina, Ololade Olasupo.
Others, according to the statement, include: Kasunmu, Ibilola Olufolake; Sogunle, Michael Olumide; Sotire, Oluwole Olumide and Obajomo Ibrahim Amodu.
While confirming that the appointments of the nine (9) new Permanent Secretaries are with immediate effect, the HoS noted that the swearing-in ceremony for all the appointees will take place on Friday 9, 2022.
