Four professors from the Lagos State University College of Medicine (LASUCOM) have made the list of top scientists in Nigeria rated among the World’s Top 2% Scientists in the annual Stanford University publication.
The professors are Abiodun Adewuya (Medicine), Adeneye Adejuwon Adewale (Medicine), Senbanjo Idowu Odunayo (Pediatrics) and Ogbera Anthonia (Medicine).
The Stanford University publication, the world ‘s most prestigious ranking is published annually to recognize the most cited scientists for the year.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, congratulates the members of staff for being so recognized and for bringing honour to the university as a whole and the LASU College of Medicine in particular.
She hopes that the feat will further spur more academic staff in the university to pursue their primary responsibility of teaching and research and take it a step further by publishing their research outputs in recognised platforms for visibility.
