The NYSC Director, Skills Acquisition and
Entrepreneurship Development (SAED)) Department, Mr. Ayodele Omotade has encouraged Corps members deployed to Imo State to remain focused, dedicated, disciplined and make the right choices in life during and after the service year.
Omotade, whose visit to the Permanent Orientation Camp, Eziama Obaire coincided with the 2022 Batch C Stream II, Inter-Platoon Cultural Carnival utilized the opportunity to advise the Corps Members to ensure that they embrace the post-camp SAED training.
He explained that the entrepreneurial programme was designed to equip them with relevant skills, empower them to create wealth, jobs and

On security, the Director affirmed that it was indeed everybody’s business, and implored the Corps Members to be very conscious of their security at all times.
In the same vein, he enjoined the Corps Members to avoid night travels and ensure they have the phone contacts of law enforcement personnel as well as the NYSC field officers stored in their phones.
Earlier in her welcome remarks, the NYSC Imo State Coordinator, Mrs. Rachel Idaewor appreciated the visiting Director for taking out time to check on the Imo state camp community.
She also presented a brief report of
the ongoing orientation course to the Director.
The Inter-Platoon Cultural Carnival offered an opportunity for the Corps members, beautifully adorned in colourful apparel to showcase the respective cultures and traditions of the diverse people of our great Nation.
The event had platoon four emerging winner, while platoon nine with ljaw culture took the second position.
The third position was claimed by platoon one which displayed the Bini culture.
The highlight of the visit was the presentation of gifts by the visiting Director to corps members.
