Gov. Uzodimma Reassures Corps Members Of Welfare, Safety

The Governor of Imo State, Distinguished Senator, Hope Uzodimma has reassured Corps Members deployed to the State of his administration’s continuous provision of adequate welfare and safety in the state.
Uzodimma made this call as he presided over the official opening and swearing-in ceremony of the orientation course for 2023 Batch A Stream I Corps Members deployed to Imo State at the Permanent orientation camp in Eziama Obaire.
The Governor, who welcomed them to the state, equally implored them to remain dedicated, disciplined, and resourceful at all times.
Similarly, he enjoined them to make painstaking efforts to imbibe the objectives of the NYSC scheme as well as make concerted efforts to promote and sustain National Unity and Integration.
Gov. Uzodimma reiterated the need for them to make the best use of the activities of the orientation course, put in their best in their Places of Primary Assignment(PPA), and host communities.
Earlier in an Introductory address, the State Coordinator, Mrs. Rachel Idaewor expressed her appreciation to the Governor for presiding over the ceremony and his show of magnanimity to the scheme in various ways.
These, the Coordinator enumerated, as the approval of the payment of Ten thousand naira (#10,000) monthly stipends to corps members serving in the state, the regular release of meal subsidies to augment the feeding of the Corps Members during orientation courses and the approval of the release of the Nkwerre General Hospital Complex in Eziama Obaire to the NYSC in the state for the ease of accommodation challenges and also services will as an ultra-modern Camp Clinic and Community Hospital to the members of Eziama Obaire community.
The high point of the ceremonies includes the administration of the National Pledge and the NYSC Oath of Allegiance on the 988 Corps Members by the representative of the Chief Judge of the state, Hon. Justice N.C. Okereke.
