NANS Zone D, Southwest Coordinator, Comrade Adejuwon Emmanuel Olatunji, in a statement at the weekend, urged the president-elect to give special attention to the education sector and other spheres of the nation’s socio-economic life that require urgent attention.
NANS Zone D-Southwest statement read, “First, I congratulate the president
-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“We want to urge the president-elect to prioritize the education system as well as other sectors. We have seen and heard about his antecedent and we believe he can do better than his previous successes.
“It has always been a form of anthem for politicians seeking election into public offices to promise heaven and earth before an election and later change after winning the power. But we believe in him and we want him to make a change in all sectors and the country as a whole.
“Mr. president-elect should come up with a better policy to make people comfortable, address unemployment and find a way for students graduating into the labour market to get jobs easily to reduce unemployment.
” Put in place situations that bring an end to strikes, reduce tuition in all institutions and make learning more affordable as it was some years ago.
In his message to the opposition parties, NANS Zone Southwest appealed to aggrieved politicians to seek legal redress and embrace peace for harmony to reign in the country.
The statement added, “Instead, they should rather support this administration to achieve a better governance and to make Nigeria great again”.
