In a bid to improve the quality of research and innovation in academia and also kick off preparations for its 5th Annual Research Fair, the Lagos State University (LASU) Directorate of Research Management and Innovation held a sensitization visit to the University College (LASUCOM) Ikeja, Lagos on Wednesday, 10th May 2023.
The visit was part of the sensitization drive towards the annual LASU Research Fair by the Central Planning Committee to the College, Schools and Faculties of the University.
At the College, the Director of the Directorate and Professor of Pharmacology, Prof. Adejuwon Adeneye, utilized the visit to refresh the memory of staff present on the importance of the institution’s research activities.
Prof. Adeneye used the platform to go down memory lane on the successes of previous editions as well as the inclusion of the Annual Fair.
He described the Fair as an annual opportunity to showcase and share the exciting research being conducted by Faculties and researchers within the University Community and her partners in the global space.
The 5th Annual LASU Research Fair is expected to hold in September 2023, at Aderemi Makanjuola Lecture Theatre, Lagos State University, Ojo Campus, Lagos.
The 2-day event already boasts a guild of reputable speakers and guests like the former Governor of Lagos State and Minister of Works, Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN) and the Chairman of LASU Governing Council, Sir David O. Sunmoni, among others.
