NANS To Protest Against Killing Of 300-level TASUED Student

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) will, on Monday, June 5th, 2023, organize a protest against the unjust killing of a 300-level student from Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED).

The notice was served via a notification jointly signed by various student leaders, including Comrade Damilola Kehinde (Da Osmos), Chairman of NANS JCC/Ogun Axis; Comrade Ogunrombi Gbemileke, NAOSS National President; Comrade Giwa Yisa, NANS National PRO; Comrade Elvis Ekundina, Deputy Senate President, NANS National; Comrade Bestman Okereafor, National President, Progressive Students Movement; Comrade Kehinde Thomas, Deputy Director of Campus Intervention, NANS National; and Comrade Wasiu Lawal, Chairman, National Association of University Students, Ogun CMC.

“After exhausting all peaceful means of resolution to no avail, we find ourselves compelled to take to the streets to amplify our demands,” stated the notification.

“Despite numerous consultations and efforts, none of the perpetrators have been apprehended, and our innocent students remain in custody to this day.

“We, therefore, urge all student leaders with good intentions to join us in our quest for #JusticeForAdebayo,” the notification further stated.

The notification added that the Governor’s Office at Oke Mosan and the Benin-Ore Expressway have been designated as the protest venues.
