Corps members have been advised to earnestly approach their Service year with the spirit of loyalty, patriotism, commitment and dedication to the Nation.

The NYSC Acting Director, Audit, Mr. Levi Okechukwu Agim made the call during his visit to Corps Members deployed to Imo State for the one-year mandatory service to the fatherland.

He told them that the interest of the Nation should be their priority urging them to follow the examples laid by their predecessors for the five decades of the Scheme’s existence, especially in the areas of rendering selfless service to humanity and development of the Nation.

Agim equally informed the Corps members not to remain in their comfort zone but take full advantage of the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme which would in turn assist them to learn a skill to become empowered and financially independent.

He further encouraged them to interact among themselves and integrate into their host communities, be guided by the laws establishing the Scheme and their work ethics.

He urged them to avoid delving into local politics, embarking on unauthorized journeys, drug abuse, and inappropriate use of social media which projects the image of the Scheme in bad light.

The guest who was received by the State Coordinator, Mrs. Rachel Ideawor, was honoured by corps members who mounted guard, teaditional dance displays and three hearty cheers to the Director General’s representative.

The guest later appreciated the Corps members for their wonderful and warm reception.
