Simplify Your Teaching Techniques, Ogun Teachers Advised

Teachers in the Ogun State public primary schools have been advised to simplify their teaching techniques by making use of simple illustrations and diagrams for easy assimilation.

The Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board, (SUBEB), Ogun State, Dr. Femi Majekodunmi made the call during a monitoring exercise to some Public Primary Schools in Ijebu North Local Government, as schools resume for the 2023/2024 academic session.

Dr. Majekodunmi emphasized the need for them to take advantage of Information and Communication Technology, as a way of adopting new teaching methods for improved academic performance.

He noted that all hands must be on deck to ensure that quality and affordable education programmes of the present administration achieve the desired result, expressing satisfaction at the teachers’ commitment and attendance to duty in all the schools visited.

“The teachers are doing their work, I can see that they are punctual, hardworking, and dedicated. We did not see any of them loitering around, and I am impressed with all the schools we have visited”, Majekodunmi said.

He enjoined parents and guardians to avail their wards of the free basic education policy of the State government, make them punctual in schools and monitor their assignments.

Responding, the Headmistress of Local Government Primary School, Ago Iwoye, Mrs. Kafaru Latifat said teachers are ready to complement the government’s effort towards achieving the desired goals of the present administration in the education sector.

Other schools visited are Sagun United Primary School, Oru, Awa, Ilaporu and Early Education Centre, A Model Nursery and Primary School, Ijebu Igbo.
