Veteran journalist and media adviser to the Alawe of Ilawe-Ekiti, High Chief Ajibade Olubunmi has bagged an honorary Doctorate from the prestigious African American University.
Ajibade, the Odolofin of Ilawe-Ekiti was conferred with a Doctorate (Honorary Causa) by the university in recognition of his “ingeniously outstanding contributions in the field of journalism in different capacities in Nigeria”.The event took place in Lagos.
“To me, this is a double-barrelled celebration ordered by God. I thank the University for this and appreciate my people for their support.
“I was privileged and destined to be conferred with a Doctorate in Journalism by the African American University on Saturday, 21/10/23, an eventful day that I clocked 10 years as the traditional chieftaincy title holder of Odolofin of Irorin quarters, Ilawe Ekiti,” Ajibade said
Chief Ajibade is a former Director, of Information and Corporate Affairs, at Ekiti State University and is currently Chairman and CEO of BOV Media Practitioners.
He had worked with Nigerian Concord Newspapers.
