Safety: EKSU Management Seals New Deal With Police, DSS

Determined to ensure improved security in and around the campus, the management of the Ekiti State University (EKSU) has sealed a  new deal with security agencies in the state.

This came to the fore when the management team led by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Edward Olanipekun paid separate visits to the Commissioner of Police, Ekiti State Command, Dr. Dare Ogundare and the Director of Security Services, Ekiti State Command, Mr. Bolade Olori at their offices in Ado-Ekiti.

Bode Olofinmuagun, the Head of, the Directorate of Information & Corporate Affairs in a statement said  Professor Olanipekun during the visits appreciated the Security Agencies for their efforts in combating crime and maintaining peace in Ekiti State.

He assured that the cooperation with the Security Agencies would be sustained. The EKSU team also visited the Iworoko Ekiti Division of the Nigeria Police.

Meanwhile, the Security Agencies in Ekiti State have expressed their readiness to partner with Ekiti State University, Ado – Ekiti to prevent the crime rate.

On his part, the Director of Security Services, Mr. Olori commended the EKSU Management for the mature manner security issues were being handled at the university.

CP Ogundare gave kudos to the university Management for not recording any major crime since his assumption of office in Ekiti State.

The Security Chiefs assured members of EKSU Management of their readiness to offer necessary assistance in ensuring that the crime rate is reduced drastically in the university in particular and Ekiti State in general.
