Members of the National Universities Commission (NUC) Accreditation Team paid a courtesy call on the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Folasade Ogunsola on Monday.
The team consisting of Prof. Emeka Nwankwo of the College of Medicine, University of Abuja; Prof. Bethrand A.F. Ngwu, the Chief Medical Director, Enugu State University Teaching Hospital; Prof. Maduka Ughasoro of the College of Medicine, University of Nigeria, Nsukka; Prof. Sa’idu Ibrahim of Bayero University, Kano; Prof. Christopher Lukong of Usman Danfodiyo University, Sokoto and Mrs. Funmilayo Kolade arrived the University of Lagos for the re-accreditation of the MBBS programme at the Faculty of Clinical Sciences, College of Medicine.
On hand to receive them were Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics & Research), Prof. Bola Oboh; Acting Registrar, Mrs. Olakunle Makinde; University Librarian, Prof. Yetunde Zaid; Provost, Prof. David Oke; Deputy Provost, Prof. O. A. T. Ebuehi; Director, Academic Planning Unit, Prof. Olusoji Ilori and Acting Dean, Faculty of Clinical Sciences, Prof. E. O. Temiye.
Prof. Bola Oboh, who represented the Vice-Chancellor, welcomed the team to the University and expressed hopes that the team would point out areas of strengths and improvements for the Faculty of Clinical Sciences.
The Team lead, Prof. Nwankwo thanked the University for the hospitality shown the team and assured the University of an unbiased and objective peer-review exercise.
