“We Did Not Advertise For Academic Staff Positions”, DOU Tells General Public

Professor Ben .E. Oghojafor, Vice Chancellor, Dennis Osadebay University, Anwai, Asaba, Delta State, has disclaimed the social media adverts into DOU for Academic Staff positions as the Institution says are fake news, cautions the general public and members of the University Community, not to fall into the trap of fraudsters.

The media learnt this today Thursday, November 9, 2023, in a disclaimer statement from the management of Dennis Osadebay University, Anwai, Asaba, Delta State, personally signed by Mrs Genevieve Isioma Obadan, Registrar & Secretary to Council.

DOU therefore, urges the University community and general public to jettison, and ignore the said fake adverts as the Institution termed publications fake news; and affirmed adverts did not emanate from the University authority.

The statement by DOU’s Registrar & Secretary to Council reads in parts:
“This is to notify the general public that at no point did Dennis Osadebay University place an advertisement for Academic Staff positions”.

“Dennis Osadebay University (DOU) wishes to explicitly refute unsubstantiated claims making the rounds in social media that the University has advertised for Academic vacancies into different Departments of the Institution”.

“Members of the University community and general public, especially applicants and their families are therefore implored to disregard all social media adverts for academic positions into DOU”.
