Ambrose Alli University Wins Nigeria Technology Awards

The Ambrose Alli University (AAU),
Ekpoma, has won the 2023 Nigeria
Technology Awards in three catego
ries.

The categories include State Uni
versity Website/Portal ofthe Year,
Excellence in Technology Deploy
ment State University, and Best Use
ofSocial Media State University.

The awards were conferred on the
university at the 9th Nigeria Tech
nology Awards (NITA) 2023, held
weekend at the Virginrose Resorts,
Victoria Island, Lagos.

Receiving the awards on behalf
ofthe university, the Ag. Vice Chan
cellor, Prof. Asomwan Sonnie Adag
bonyin, represented by Mrs. Abiola
Laseinde ofthe Ambrose Alli Uni
versity Law Class of1999 said he
was elated that the modest effort of
the university in driving technolog
ical development in Nigeria is rec
ognised.

He thanked the awarding body
and promised that this award would
spur the university to greater heights.

Earlier in his welcome address,
the convener of the award ceremonies and ChiefExecutive Officer of
Nigeria Technology Awards (NITA)
said that the awards ceremony is a
modest contribution of the organisation in encouraging indigenous development of technology.

It would be recalled that Am
brose Alli University Ekpoma also
won a patent right for GLUCOZIL, a
medicine that she produced for the
treatment ofdiabetes and high blood
pressure that got NAFDAC certifica
tion this year.

Also, this year, the Nursing and
Midwifery students of Ambrose
Alli University Ekpoma obtained a
hundred percent pass in the Nursing
and Midwifery Council’s Profession
al Examination 2023.

Ambrose Alli University Alumni Association, Dr. Clifford Omozeghian
Esq. on behalf of the Alumni Association, congratulates the Acting Vice-Chancellor and the entire University for the above feats.
