… Says Arakunrin Akeredoku A Great Comrade
Com. Akinteye Afeez, President of the Senate, National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Headquarters Wednesday congratulated Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa as he took the oath of office as the new Executive Governor of Ondo State.
Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa was sworn in as the state’s substantive Governor by the Chief Judge of Ondo State at a brief ceremony following the passage of Rotimi Akeredolu early Wednesday morning.
Comrade Akinteye commiserated with Governor Aiyedatiwa and the people. of Ondo State on the death of the former governor, expressed confidence in his ability and capability to steer the ship of the state.
The statement read, “I hope this letter finds you well as you assume the important role of leading our beloved Ondo State.
“On behalf of all Nigerian Students, I write to congratulate you on your inauguration as the Executive Governor of our dear Sunshine State, I am also using this medium to assure you of our confidence in your leadership skills and willpower to govern us effectively.
“Just as we did with the former governor, we are ready to stand by your side and contribute to the progress and development of our state as we believe that, together, we can achieve great things.

However, NANS has described the passage of the former governor Akeredolu as a sad development
and loss for Ondo State.
NANS stated, “We are deeply saddened to hear about the death of our State Governor. It is a huge loss for our State and the Nation at large.
“The news which came to us as a rude shock, is one we are still finding hard to digest, as we have just lost a great patriot and a real man of his people, that would never keep quiet and watch evil sell. We are very much aware it is the Lord’s doings and we are therefore expressing our sincerest condolences.”
“Governor Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu was an exceptional leader who made a significant impact during his time in office.
“His dedication and commitment to our state will always be remembered. We admired his efforts in ensuring full security for citizens and residents of Ondo State amidst his several other achievements.”
NANS prayed for the repose of his soul and asked God to keep evil away from all the deceased left behind.
“Continue to rest in peace, dearest Leader and Amotekun General, till we meet to part no more,” NANS added.
