Newskidnap Epidemic: Again Gunmen Seize Two Female Students In Katsina

As the nation continues to wait in anguish to know the fate of the remaining five girls of the Al-Kadriyar family, kidnapped in Abuja on January 2, out of whom the most senior was killed by her abductors, two other female students at Al-Qalam University in Katsina State have been reportedly grabbed by gunmen in Katsina State.

The gunmen, suspected to be bandits, were said to have picked the latest victims  Habiba Ango Shantali and Maryam Abubakar Musa, on their way back to school on Monday.

Gambo Idris Shehu, President National Association of Niger State Students (NANS), confirmed the incident in a statement signed by the Secretary-General, Comr. Mohammed Ibrahim.

The statement read: “The National Executive Council just received the sad news that two of our students from Niger State who are studying at Al-Qalam University, Katsina have been kidnapped on their way back to school.

“The victims are Habiba Ango Shantali, a 200-level student from the Political Science department, and Maryam Abubakar Musa, a 400-level student from the Department of Micro Biology. They are both from Borgu Local Government. May Allah rescue them from the hands of those notorious people.”
