The Commissioner of Police, Kwara State Command, Mobolaji Olaiya, has confirmed the University of Ilorin as a cultism-free institution.
Olaiya declared that the feat stands the citadel out among other universities in Nigeria.
The Police Commissioner gave this affirmation in Ilorin, on Monday, when he received the management team of the University, led by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Wahab Egbewole.
The university community is paramount, and the collaboration between the institution and the Police is crucial in achieving this goal.
Egbewole expressed optimism that the Police Command’s continued efforts, combined with the University’s support, would create a secure environment not only within the campus but also in the surrounding communities where students reside.
