NAPS Southwest Deputy Coordinator Assures Colleagues Of Better Welfare


Comrade Oloyede Ayinde, the new Deputy Coordinator of the National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS), Southwest zone has promised to champion fresh initiatives that will ensure better welfare for students in the zone.

Oloyede in a note titled: “A Commitment to Your Welfare: Charting a Course for a Better Tomorrow”, assured that beyond academics, polytechnic students from the zone will enjoy new partnerships with industry sector for gainful internships.

“I will champion initiatives that enhance your skills and employability. This includes collaborating with industry partners, organizing skill development workshops, and providing avenues for internships and practical experiences.”

The newly appointed appointed Southwest Deputy Coordinator of NAPS expressed appreciation to members in his constituency for their support, saying his tenure would mark a pivotal moment in the collective journey toward a brighter and more prosperous future.

He stated, “The convention held on the 27th of January, 2024, at the Federal Polytechnic Ede, Osun State marked a pivotal moment in our collective journey towards a brighter and more prosperous future.

“Firstly, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude for the trust and confidence you have placed in me. It is with a profound sense of responsibility and commitment that I take on the role of Deputy Coordinator. My primary objective is to serve as a staunch advocate for your rights, well-being, and academic pursuits.

“Our polytechnic institutions are hubs of talent, innovation, and resilience. As your representative, I assure you that your interests will be my top priority. I am dedicated to working tirelessly to improve the overall welfare of each student.

“This includes advocating for better accommodation, healthcare, and recreational facilities on our campuses. Your well-being is central to a conducive and enriching academic environment.”

Oloyede vowed to actively engage with the relevant authorities to ensure that students from the zone have access to quality education, up-to-date resources, and a conducive learning environment.

He added, “Together, we will strive for academic excellence. Your voice matters, and I am committed to ensuring that it is heard. I will establish channels for open communication, regular town hall meetings, and feedback sessions. This way, your concerns, suggestions, and aspirations will shape the decisions that impact your student experience.

“Together, we will build a vibrant and supportive community. I will encourage active participation in extracurricular activities, sports, and cultural events. A thriving community fosters camaraderie and enriches the overall student experience.”

He pledged to fight against infringement on the rights of poly technic students, address issues of unfair policies, discrimination, or any form of injustice and fight for a fair and inclusive environment.

Oloyede added, “This journey is not mine alone; it is a collective effort. I invite you to join hands with me as we embark on this path towards positive change and progress.”
