Dr. Chika Yinka-Banjo, an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science, University of Lagos (UNILAG) has won the Outstanding Performance in Teaching Award of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology- Empowering The Teachers (MIT-ETT) Programme.
She received the award at the MIT-ETT Symposium and Award Ceremony recently held in Lagos.
Dr. Yinka-Banjo, who is the Team Lead of the Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Laboratory (AIRLAB), UNILAG, is one of over 90 Nigerian lecturers who are Fellows of the MIT-ETT Fellowship Programme.
Launched in 2013, the MIT-ETT Fellowship Programme strives to foster innovation in science and engineering education in tertiary institutions in Nigeria, through intense engagement with faculty members.
Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and Total Energies EP Nigeria are corporate partners and sponsors of the programme.
Reacting to the soaring image and rating of the University, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Lagos, Professor Folasade Ogunsola, on behalf of the University Senate, Management, Staff and Students, congratulated Dr. Chika Yinka-Banjo for winning the highly prestigious award.
