In preparation for the oncoming rainy season, joint collaboration between NYSC Lagos and National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), has conducted a sanitation sensitization for marketers of Census Market in Babs Animashaun, Surulere, located beside the newly refurbished Surulere bridge and Canal of the dangers of bad sanitation as raining season is about to begin.

Speaking during the programme, the South West Coordinator of NEMA, Mr Ibrahim Farinloye, said the joint collaborative visit to the market is not to hinder marketing activities but to inform them of the dangers of poor sanitation, blocked canals and hindrances of water flow which may result to flooding and incidental disasters.

Also speaking at the market, Mrs Uzoamaka Ogunrayewa, representing the State Coordinator, urged the marketers to follow sanitation guidelines so as not to be victims of flooding as the raining season is about to begin.

Responding during the sentization, the Baba Oloja of the market, speaking on behalf of the marketers, implored the joint collaborators to always inform them before their visitation so as to conduct their internal sensitization and sanitation, saying such advance notifications will leave them unprepared.

Other persons who spoke during the sentization are the NYSC desk Officer for NEMA CDS, Kabira Adesekola and other corps members.
