Ogun State government has added another milestone in the education sector by the approval of Oba Sikiru Adetona College of Governance’s affiliation to the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, Jos.
The Head of Service (HoS), Mr. Kehinde Onasanya, made this known in a letter of appreciation to the state Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, commending his unrelenting efforts at enhancing the state’s Public Service capacity building programmes and skill enhancement initiatives.
Mr. Onasanya noted that the approval was phenomenal, informing that the College was established to train top government officials, the first of its kind in the Sub – Saharan Africa,
“We were overwhelmingly thrilled with the news that revealed the move of the state government to affiliate the Oba Sikiru Adetona College of Governance with the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, Jos, for the training of high ranking government officials. We consider this as a huge blessing to the Public Service and therefore express our gratitude to Your Excellency for this brilliant initiative”, he said.
The Number One Civil Servant described the initiative as a brilliant idea which shows Governor Abiodun’s resolute commitment to improving the quality of Service and the personal growth of workers that had given them golden opportunities to excel in their services to the state.
He appreciated the Governor for making it expedient for all members of the Body of Permanent Secretaries to be the inaugural students to be enrolled in the college, reiterating the continuous support, loyalty and dedication of the state’s workforce to the present administration.
