The Akwa Ibom State Office of the Joint Admissions And
Matriculation Board (JAMB),
recently played host to the NIPOST State Postal Manager (SPM), Dr.ChrisUzoma
Ashiedu, who paid a courtesy call to the State Office as part of his efforts to seek closer ties with the Board.
Dr.Ashiedu discussed areas of
mutual interest to both agencies and how the opportunities inherent therein could be harnessed for their mutual benefits.
Speaking further, Dr.Ashiedu
highlighted the various services and products of NIPOST that could help the Board to further enhance its service delivery.
These, he said, include: Courier Services, Logistics Services, Sales of Postage Stamps, EMS/Speed Post Courier, Parcel
Services(both local and
international), Haulage and Cargo Services, Agency services, Financial Services (Post Cash) Online Electronic Money Transfer, Bulk Post Services, Special Delivery Services For Corporate Agencies, Rental and
Provision of Private Mail Bag (PMB) and Private and Commercial Post Office Boxes, Billboard Advertisement and Advertisement through PMBs, Registration Of Courier Companies, Address Verification, Philatelic Services,
Space Rentals of NIPOST Premises for Commercial use by agencies and corporate organisations, Stamp
Authentication for transactions
above1000Naira, E-Commerce,
Pick up Services, and Post Shops, among others.
He also stressed the need for the creation of a NIPOST Desk Office at the JAMB Office, Uyo, towards enhancing accessibility to NIPOST services by JAMB candidates, staff, and other stakeholders in the State.
In her reactions, the State
Coordinator, Mrs.Grace Olima
William, welcomed Dr. Ashiedu and his team to the State Office. She acknowledged the symbiotic partnership between the two agencies and emphasised the Board’s commitment to exploring opportunities that promote effective service delivery.

In a related development, the
Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST) has also reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB)vin providing a seamless registration exercise for candidates aspiring to sit its Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
This was contained in the remarks made by the Jigawa State NIPOST State Postal Manager, Mr. Ibrahim Musa, during his courtesy visit to the Jigawa State Office on Tuesday, 11th June, 2024, where he assured the Jigawa State Coordinator, Mr. Bello Aminu, of the determination of his Agency to providing efficient and reliable services.
In his remarks, the State Coordinator stressed the importance of achieving
a smooth UTME registration, while urging NIPOST to sustain the tempo of its service delivery to the Board.
In his submission, he urged NIPOST which is also a PIN vending platform to ensure that candidates have access to UTME PINs without any stress so as to make the process more user-friendly.
