The results of the October/November, 2023 accreditation of academic programmes at Achievers University by the National Universities Commission (NUC) is now out.
In a letter directed to the Proprietor of the University by Engr. Abraham Chundusu, NUC’s Acting Director of Accreditation, disclosed that the Nursing Programme and seven others got full accreditation status.
The other programmes are Public Administration, Public Health, Biochemistry, Geology, Industrial Chemistry, Plant Science and Biotechnology as well as International Relations.
The school, however got interim accreditation for Criminology and Security Studies as well as Sociology programmes.
The NUC used the opportunity of the letter to remind the institution on the need to maintain the recommended academic standards.
“Kindly note that the implementation of the Core Curriculum Minimum Academic Standards (CCMAS) commenced in 2023/2024 academic session with students admitted into 100 level.
“To this end, your university is expected to ensure compliance in the utilisation of the CCMAS for all programmes,” the letter concluded.
