Unilag Partners Unilever, UNICEF, FUCAP To Reignite Career Prospects In Students

In furtherance of Professor Folasade Ogunsola, the Vice Chancellor, the University ofLagos’s vision to lead the university into future-readiness, the institution partnered with the Unilever Nigeria and UNICEF, Future-X Campus Ambassadors Programme (FUCAP) in staging a Career Seminar designed to equip students with the necessary tools and insight to navigate the ever-evolving job market.

At the well-attended seminar, students of the institution were given a transformative opportunity to reshape their career perspectives during an impactful career seminar held recently.

In a keynote address delivered by Professor Ayodele Atsenuwa, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Development Services), on behalf of the VC, Professor Ogunsola, said the university remains resolute to deliver
on the mandate of making UNILAG FUTURE-Ready.

She highlighted areas in which the university has already begun to produce a fit-for-purpose workforce for Nigeria and the world at large and encouraged students to familiarise themselves with the various facilities and resources available for their benefit on the University campus.

In the same vein, Programme Specialist, Youth Division of UNICEF Nigeria, Bharat Kumar Kundra, advised students to take initiative whenever they see opportunities.

Bharat informed that participants stood the chance of gaining internship placements with Unilever and other collaborating organisation.
