The Organising Committee of the 11th All Africa University Games, made up of a combined delegation of officials from the Federation of African University Sports (FASU) and the Nigerian Universities Games (NUGA), has commenced a week-long inspection visit to the Lagos State University (LASU).
The visit is the Committee’s second inspection tour of LASU ahead of the 11th All Africa University Games to be jointly hosted by Lagos State University and the University of Lagos from 20th to 29th September 2024.
The team, led by the Acting President of NUGA, Dr Mohammed Bawa, arrived at 10.00 a.m. and had a meeting with the Local Organising Committee of LASU at the Vice Chancellor’s Conference Room at the Senate Building.
The meeting, chaired by the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Administration and Alternate Chairman, Prof. Adenike Boyo enabled the visiting team to compare notes with the various sub-committees of the Local Organising Committee ahead of the visit of the FASU Secretary-General and his team later in the week.
The meeting was followed by an inspection visit of facilities at the Sports Centre, as well as the Femi Gbajabiamila Conference Centre and Students Hostels.
