Alhaja Romoke Adedokun, the Proprietress of Adedokun International Schools, Dalemo, Ota Ogun State has urged the Ogun government to provide good road networks to boost operations of private schools in the state.
Adedokun made the appeal in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria the (NAN) in Ota,Ogun.
NAN reports that the school which will mark its 15 years Anniversary in September had four centres including Ifo,Ijoko, Dalemo and Iyana-Iyesi all in Ogun State.
The educationist identified bad roads as one of major problems affecting the operations of private schools in the state.
“We are appealing to Ogun state government to make concerted efforts to provide enabling environment in the area of good roads for private schools to thrive.
“Also, investing in good road network is important to harnessing socio-economic opportunities available to the state,” she said.
Adedokun added that the first school established with good hostel facilities was hindered because the roads were not accessible as many people believed that for them getting there was a challenging factor.
The educationist explained that this development prompted the founder of Adedokun International Schools to start building schools all over Ota in Ogun.
Adedokun emphasised the need for government to provide good road network to support the private schools because they offered standard that could not be found in public schools in the state.
