Learners have been charged to imbibe the values of integrity, righteousness, accountability and sportsmanship, in order to become worthy and proud future leaders of the country.

Ogun State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu, gave the charge in Abeokuta, during the National Quiz Competition on Legislature and Democracy, organised by the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS), Abuja in collaboration with Ogun State Ministry of Education, saying, these core values would enable them to perform their duties well as future legislators.

Represented by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Mrs. Oluwatosin Oloko, Prof. Arigbabu acknowledged the contributions of teachers towards helping the learners to obtain higher education potential, saying their efforts and excellence would always be rewarded by Gov. Dapo Abiodun’s administration.

Appreciating the state government and NILD, winners of the State Category, representing Ogun Central, Hannah Oyedotun and Precious Raizer from Adedokun International School, Ifo, said the competition had broadened their knowledge about Legislature and its activities.
