Arigbabu Advocates Hard Work, Perseverance As Mechanism To Greatness

Ogun State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu, has charged youths aspiring to achieve greatness in life to imbibe the spirit of hard work, perseverance, and dedication in their daily activities.

Prof. Arigbabu, made this known, during a ‘thank you visit’ by the Holder of the Guinness Book of Record Longest Sewing Marathon, Oluwaseun Kuforiji, in his office in Abeokuta, saying achieving and maintaining success in life involves individual relentless efforts.

He admonished the youths to desist from sharp practices but rather take after the doggedness and resilient attitude of Mr. Kuforiji who passionately set out his goals, pursue them diligently and achieve them in entirety.

The Commissioner appreciated the humanitarian gesture of the record holder for donating school uniforms to about 10,000 Public Primary School learners in Ijebu-Ode, Sagamu and Abeokuta axis of the State, saying his gesture had complimented the effort of the government towards providing qualitative education for the learners.

He said “It is a pleasant thing, seeing young people doing exploit. Seeing younger people achieving greatness, makes me proud and I want to really commend you for having a vision and pursue it and for being a source of inspiration,’’ he said

Speaking, Seun Kuforiji, the record holder said giving to the less privileged pupils was a note of appreciation for winning the record and to help the pupils deal with low self-esteem that may truncate their ambitions.
