A release signed by the varsity’s Centre Information and Public Relations (CIPR) stated that LASUIS has reaffirmed its status as a topnotch academic centre, an enviable model and a point of envy amongst its contemporaries given its back-to-back top-height success records in the all-important examination (UTME) for two years.

Reaffirming its status as one of the leading centres of academic excellence in the state, the Lagos State University International School (LASUIS) has once again distinguished itself through the remarkable performance of its students in the recently concluded 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

Out of the fifty-eight (58) LASUIS students who sat for this year’s highly competitive examination, seven (7) candidates scored 300 and above – an outstanding feat in a year when mass failure was recorded nationwide. Topping the list of high achievers was Ezekwuaku Sanctus Chidera, who scored an impressive 352 marks. In addition, twenty-eight (28) students scored between 250 and 299 points, while twenty-three (23) others scored between 219 and 249, representing a 100% pass rate among the students

Speaking on the students’ achievements, the Principal of LASUIS, Mr Taiwo Odumbo, attributed the success to the school’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence and its culture of high-quality teaching and learning. In his words: “This performance is a testament to the dedication of our teachers, the resilience of our students, and the strong academic standards we uphold.”

Mr Odumbo also highlighted that this year’s results build on the school’s proud track record, noting that LASUIS students recorded a 100% pass rate in the 2024 UTME as well. He further encouraged parents and guardians to continue entrusting the school with their children’s education, assuring them of a world-class learning experience that prepares students to excel in future academic pursuits.

The latest achievement by LASUIS not only reinforces its reputation as one of the top-performing secondary schools in Lagos State but also demonstrates its sustained contribution to the development of well-rounded and academically excellent young citizens.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji-Bello, congratulates the entire LASUIS Board led by Professor Ayodeji Badejo, members of staff and students of the school for the great academic feat.
