Oyo State College of Nursing Sciences, Eleyele, Ibadan, has installed a clock-in device to curb incessant absenteeism and ensure the staff take their duties seriously.
The Provost of the College, Dr Gbonjubola Owolabi said this in a statement, in Ibadan on Tuesday after addressing staff members.
Owolabi observed that during some of her unannounced visits to departments, many workers were absent while some offices were not opened during work hours.
According to her, the device will end absenteeism and indolence among workers.
The provost said that the college would install the same device at the other campuses in Kishi and Oyo towns.
She stated that Gov. Seyi Makinde’s administration valued the education and healthcare sector seriously to ensure residents had access to quality health services, founded on quality education.
“This is part of the reasons for the installation of the clock-in device in our school; it is to ensure that workers are at their duty posts,” she said.
She urged the management team and heads of departments to encourage staff members to pay keen attention to the clock-in device to ensure prompt attendance.
