LASU Management Team Monitors Smooth Start Of Second Semester Examinations

Lagos State University (LASU), on Monday, 18th August 2025, began its second semester examinations for the 2024/2025 academic session.

To ensure a smooth exercise, the University management is carrying out a high-level monitoring to ensure a smooth and credible start to the examinations.

The monitoring team, led by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics), Professor Oseni Taiwo Afisi, visited three faculties where examinations were ongoing.

These included the Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Law, and the LASU Computer Test Centre (LASU-CTC).

The visit formed part of the University’s commitment to transparency, orderliness, and strict adherence to academic ethics.

The presence of the monitoring team was also intended to encourage staff and students, while ensuring that any challenges arising during the exercise are promptly addressed.

During the exercise, Professor Afisi interacted with Deans of Faculties, invigilators, technical staff, and students to assess the conduct of the examinations.

He commended the discipline and orderliness observed across the centres and assured that steps are being taken to make the examination venues more conducive for students throughout the period.

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor was accompanied by the Acting Dean of Students’ Affairs, Dr Abiodun Fatai-Abatan; the Deputy Registrar, Students’ Affairs Division, Mr Abdulhameed Lawal; Special Assistant to the Vice-Chancellor, Dr Lateef Salami; Administrative Officer II (Vice-Chancellor’s Office), Mr Olubiyo Obasa; and principal data processing officer, Mr Akintobi Abdulhakeem

The examinations will continue across all LASU campuses, with further monitoring visits scheduled for Thursday, 21st August 2025.
