Principals of Flagship Secondary Schools in Ogun State have been charged to be hardworking, relentless and ascertain their authorities with a firm compliance with government programme for the educational sector.
Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu, gave this charge during a decision making policy meeting to determine cut-off marks into each of the flagship schools in the State for the 2025/2026 Academic year, saying the perception of people about a school was determined by the capacity and seriousness of the Principal.
Prof. Arigbabu, affirmed that learners would not be more than 60 in a classroom to enable teachers analyse and manage them well, adding that enough facilities had been provided to give them desirable learning opportunities.

In her remarks, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Mrs. Oluwatosin Oloko, said the meeting was called to remind Principals about the policies of the government in flagship schools and to intimate the newly posted ones on what was expected of them.
Speaking, Principal General of Remo Division, Dr. Olubunmi Womiloju and the State President, All Nigeria Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools, Mr. Adeyinka Adekoya, ascribed the success story in the State education sector to the massive investment of Prince Dapo Abiodun’s administration.
Earlier in his remarks, Director of Education, Department of Curriculum Development and Evaluation, Mr. Temitope Lasilo, said Principals in flagship schools were called to ensure that the admission process was transparent and in alignment with the State education policy.
