Coronation Insurance Plc and Coronation Life Assurance Limited hosted students from the Actuarial and Insurance Club of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) at their corporate office in Lagos, as part of an ongoing effort to build connections between the insurance industry and academic institutions.
Adebowale Adesona, Managing Director of Coronation Life Assurance Limited, delivered a keynote titled: “Building a Career in Insurance and Actuarial Science.”
He told the students, “Your curiosity today is the seed of tomorrow’s leadership. This industry needs your brilliance, your fresh perspective, and your hunger for change.
“At Coronation, we don’t just provide insurance – we shape futures.”
The students were treated to a rare behind-the-scenes experience through interactive sessions with Coronation professionals who shared authentic insights into their roles, including “A Day in the Life of an Actuary,” Underwriter, and Insurance Risk Manager.
The sessions provided a practical lens into the profession and encouraged open conversations about the challenges and rewards of an insurance career.
Vinson Asekhamhe, Database Marketing Manager at Coronation Life Assurance Limited, encouraged the students to remain curious and proactive.
“You don’t have to wait until graduation to start thinking like a professional. Ask questions, stay curious, and let your learning evolve beyond the textbook,” he said.
