The Lagos State Government, through the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education and the Lagos State Examinations Board, announces the commencement of the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE).
The examination will take place from Wednesday, July 2nd, to Tuesday, July 8th, 2025.
According to the Director of the Lagos State Examinations Board, Mr. Orunsolu Adebayo, this examination is a crucial milestone for thousands of students transitioning from Junior Secondary School to Senior Secondary School.
The Board, in a statement made available by Onadipe Opebere, the Board’s Public Affairs Officer, reiterated its commitment to ensuring a fair and seamless examination process.
Mr. Orunsolu encouraged students to confidently approach the examination, reflecting the hard work and dedication they have invested in their studies.
He also urged parents, guardians and school authorities of public and private schools to take note of the examination schedules and guidelines.
The Director assured stakeholders that all necessary measures are in place to ensure a smooth examination process, with no child left unattended.
