The operatives of Operation Udo Ga-Achi, also known as the Agunechemba Vigilante Group,
have been seen assaulting a female member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Anambra State.
The female NYSC member, identified as Jennifer Edema Elohor, was assaulted alongside some of her colleagues at a corps members’ lodge in Anambra State.
The video, which was shared by the Haven 360 Foundation on Facebook on Monday, showed Elohor being beaten and stripped naked by men
wielding guns.
The foundation stated that the vigilante accused the corps members of being internet fraudsters and still descended on them despite producing their NYSC identity cards.
The foundation stated: “We strongly condemn the brutal assault and violation of rights of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members by operatives of Operation Udo Ga-Achi or ‘Agunechemba Vigilante Group’ in Anambra State.
On July 23, 2025, these state actors stormed the corps lodge, accusing the members of being “Yahoo people”, despite their prompt production of NYSC identification cards and uniforms.
“The assault was particularly egregious in the case of Jennifer Edema Elohor, who was beaten,
stripped naked, and left exposed and covered in blood.
The victims were subjected to unsavory, horrible, sexually degrading words and actions,
including threats of sexual violation.
“The victims, through their parents and counsel, have reached out to us at the Haven360 Foundation for advocacy support and assistance in seeking justice.
“We have committed to providing them with all necessary support and resources to ensure that their rights are protected and justice is served.
“We demand the Immediate arrest and prosecution of the individuals involved in this heinous act and comprehensive reparation and
compensation for the gross violation of the victims’ rights, physical harm, and psychological
trauma inflicted upon them.”
The foundation also urged the Anambra State Government to take immediate and decisive action to address “this gross human rights
abuse, the Federal Government to invoke its authority and ensure justice is served and civil Societies, influencers, and all persons to stand in solidarity with the victims and demand justice.”
It added: “Our team are already on ground working with legal representation for the
victims and others in ensuring this matter is not swept under the carpet. We will deploy every
resource available to us and allowed by law to fight this matter until justice prevails. We will not rest until the victims receive the justice
and compensation they deserve.
