The Supervising Tutor-General/Permanent Secretary, Education District II, Mr. Olusegun Osinaike, has been honoured as one of the distinguished recipients of the Lagos State Public Service Long Service Merit Award 2025, in recognition of his outstanding dedication, diligence, and unwavering commitment to the ideals of public service.
Mr. Osinaike, among six serving Permanent Secretaries and 750 deserving officers, received the prestigious award during the ceremony held at the Adeyemi Bero Auditorium, Alausa, Ikeja, on Tuesday, as part of activities commemorating the Year 2025 Lagos State Public Service Week.
The Long Service Merit Award is an initiative of the Lagos State Government designed to recognise and reward diligence, commitment, and loyalty among public servants, while also serving to inspire others to uphold the enduring tradition of service excellence that defines the Lagos State Public Service.
Speaking at the event, the Head of Service, Mr. Bode Agoro, lauded the awardees for their invaluable contributions to governance and public administration in the State.
He emphasised that the programme aims to celebrate and appreciate public servants for their long-term dedication and devotion to effective service delivery.
His words, “We believe this periodic exercise will encourage awardees to do more, while also serving as motivation for other public servants to remain committed to delivering effective service to the State.”
Mr. Agoro urged all public servants to continue to discharge their duties efficiently and effectively, and to the best of their abilities, while encouraging them to remain focused on personal development and embrace ICT innovations to enhance productivity and professional growth.
The recognition of Mr. Osinaike further underscores the Lagos State Government’s unwavering commitment to promoting excellence, integrity, and motivation within the public sector, and reflects his exemplary leadership and long-standing contributions to educational development within Education District II and Lagos state in general.
