A 21-year-old lady, Covenant Ogunbona, has been declared missing in Itori, Ogun State, sparking deep concern and a wave of sympathy across social media.

According to Newsmakers, her brother, who shared the news on X, with the handle @thetosingrey, pleaded for public assistance in finding her.

“Please help me find my sister. Kindly retweet,” he wrote alongside a missing-person notice that has since drawn massive attention online.

According to the notice, Covenant was last seen on Thursday, October 16, 2025, in Itori.

The family is offering a N500,000 reward for any credible information leading to her recovery.

Anyone with useful information is urged to call 07069339005 or 08091082144, or report to the Itori Police Station.

The post has generated thousands of reactions, with many Nigerians expressing alarm at the rising number of missing persons nationwide.

One user, @GaniuSmith, wrote, “Omo, it’s alarming how people have gone missing these few months. A whole family has been missing since October 11.”

Another user, @only1boddy4639, lamented, “The way people dey miss recently is scary. Omoh, I just dey stay indoors now, unless I must go out for money.”

Commenting on the growing anxiety, @blackcamel78070 added, “The rate people get missing now is getting ridiculous. This country is getting scary daily.”

Others, like @Busyguy4real and @GraxGracious, prayed for Covenant’s safe return while voicing concern that many of such incidents seem to occur in Ogun State.
