A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress(APC),Hon Cyril Fasuyi has donated some learning materials to both private and secondary schools in Ekiti North .
25,000 free 60 leaves notebooks were donated to all students in Senior Secondary School three in all public and private schools in Moba, Ilejemeje, Ido-Osi, Oye and Ikole local governments.
A statement by Chief Niyi Ojo,the Director of Media described the gesture as an honest intervention by Fasuyi, who is the candidate of the APC in the District to support education in tbe state.
“The kind gestures is to provide succor for parents and students and to further demonstrate his commitment to quality education for Youths in his district. This is one of the many interventions lined up to promote teaching and learning process when elected into the Senate. It should be noted that this is the first time private schools students will be considered for such gesture by anybody” the statement reads.
The notebooks have been delivered to Education Secretaries in affected local governments for distribution to Principals and Proprietors of the students.
