Unilorin Commences 2022/2023 Academic Session In August

Prof. Wahab Egbewole, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin has announced that the 2022/2023 academic session of the institution will commence in August.
Egbewole, who disclosed this during an interactive session with newsmen in Ilorin on Wednesday, explained that the university was prepared to return to the era of its characteristic stable academic calendar.
This, he said, was with the attendant high-quality service delivery.
He noted that his administration was not unmindful of the expectations of stakeholders as regard the need to ensure that Unilorin returned to the path of sustainable stable academic calendar, which had placed it on top in the nation’s university system.
He expressed satisfaction that despite the challenges of the moment, the institution had been gaining tremendous positive momentum.
He stressed that this was considering the several accolades that have come its way and those of some members of the university community whose academic and research breakthroughs have been recognised and honoured.
The vice chancellor reiterated his determination to leave the university better than he met it in every ramification, particularly in the complete digitisation of its operations.
He explained that the target of his administration was to ensure that the institution produce highly sophisticated and smart graduates who would be able to dominate their environments.
He expressed determination of helping the university become the first in Nigeria, among the first 10 in Africa and one of the leading 500 universities across the globe.
Egbewole further disclosed that the institution had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tunil University, Italy, the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, United Kingdom and the Summit University, Offa, on the promotion of education and research.
