Winners Emerge In Busy Brains MECAMA Educational Games Competition

The duo of Taiwo Moyosore and Obadimu Olasubomi of Grace Point College Ibadan have emerged as the overall winners of the Busy Brains MECAMA Educational Games Competition.

No fewer than 32 schools were represented by 64 students who participated in the Busy Brains Competition 2.0 Edition that was held at the International Conference Centre, Lead City University Ibadan, the Capital City of Oyo State.

The competition according to the inventor of MECAMA Educational Games, Mr Akinwole Adebayo Najeem, a lecturer at the Mathematics Department, Federal College of Education Iwo, Osun State, is an avenue for participants to showcase their strategic thinking, teamwork and quick decision-making skills throughout the competition.

Mr Akinwole Adebayo in his address at the grand finale of the three-day intense competition maintained that the 2.0 edition of the competition was jointly organized by the Lead City University Radio, the Lead Radio and Algorithm Educational Concepts, Ibadan.

He said, “No fewer than 32 schools with 64 participants competing in the MARCO and E’MARCO Games of the five games in MECAMA Educational Games to promote critical-thinking and problem-solving skills among students through engaging and competitive gameplay.”

Adebayo further said, “The main purpose of this competition is to challenge the students’ knowledge, skills and creativity in a fun and competitive environment. It is also an avenue to celebrate hard work, teamwork, and dedication, among our students.”

“The Busy Brains MECAMA Educational Games Competition 2.0 Edition was a resounding success, highlighting the importance of fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills among the youth. The event served as a platform for students to demonstrate their mental prowess and strategic abilities.”
