The Camp Director for the 2023 Batch ‘A’ Stream I orientation course of the Lagos State National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Mrs. Fati Taiwo has educated Prospective Corps Members (PCs) in the camp that the three weeks course will afford them a better understanding of the NYSC scheme.
Mrs. Taiwo stated this on Thursday at the Iyana Ipaja temporary orientation while addressing the PCMs during the morning meditation of the course.
According to the Camp Director, the course will also allow them to get acquainted with the Lagos environment, especially for first-time visitors.
She said apart from the discipline which Orientation Course instills in its participants, it is a preparatory ground for the service year.
Mrs. Taiwo hinted to the Prospective Corps Members about the various programmes on camp, saying all programmes are put together to ensure corps members are fit, mentally composed and intellectually ready for the challenges of the service year.
Aside from spending the first night in camp, Prospective Corps Members were exposed to morning fitness programmes, religious programmes, and the template of how morning activities will run for the entirety of the course.
Besides and notably, the yet-to-be sworn-in young graduates from Nigerian and overseas universities and institutions were exposed to the regimental tunes of the camp.
