All roads lead to Ago-Iwoye Ijebu on Wednesday 26 July 2023 as the foremost Secondary School in the ancient kingdom, Ago-Iwoye Secondary School celebrates with the school’s iconic set, the 1969/73 set.
In a statement by the General Secretary of the set, Samuel Adegboyega Adebajo, the Ebumawe and paramount ruler of Ago-Iwoye Kingdom Oba Razak Adenugba will be the Chief Host at the Golden Jubilee celebrations which will showcase the completed multi-million naira projects donated to the school by the 1969/73 set.
Listed among the projects are the new borehole for the school community which included a geophysics survey, plumbing, electrification, erection and installation of water tanks; restoration of municipal power supply to the school community; procurement and installation of pre-paid meters; and institutionalization of annual cash prize awards to overall three best students.
Several activities including a public lecture, luncheon, commissioning of the projects and reunion dance to round up the golden jubilee celebrations will feature in the loaded programme of events.
