Summer Coaching: Hon. Eshilokun Tasks Students On Hard Work, Good Conduct

In continuation of the activities designed to coach students in Formal and Informal Education during the Long Holiday, Kolawole Ajibade Oyekan Foundation received the Vice Chairman of Lagos Island Local Government, Hon. Rosul Eshilokun at its Free Summer Coaching Centre, St. John’s Primary School, Aroloya, Lagos to mentor Students.

In his address, Hon. Eshilokun advised the students to study hard, be of good behaviour, shun drug, substance abuse and bad peer pressure.

He described education as the key to success in life and a driving force for self-development.

“I enjoin you to study very well and pass your examinations with good grades to make the organiser of the summer coaching, Prince Taiwo Oyekan proud of your performances”, Hon. Eshilokun said.

He commended the Executive Director of Kolawole Ajibade Oyekan Foundation, Prince Taiwo Oyekan on the successful conduct of the free summer coaching and other socio-economic intervention initiatives.

On his part, the Majority Leader of Lagos Island Local Government and scholar, Hon. Qudus Davies said though it is the duty of Federal and State Governments to provide education for its younger citizens but Prince Oyekan’s intervention was timely and commendable.

He, however, offered success tips to the students and youths on Lagos Island, just as he also shared amazing success stories of Individuals and world leaders who have distinguished themselves in different fields across the world.

“I charge you to concentrate on your studies. Do not engage in activities that could destroy your dreams. Instead, learn new skills such as Computer Programming, Coding and other Digital Literacy Trainings. Do not take or abuse drugs”, He said.

“Readers are Leaders, Leaders are Readers”, He concluded.

In the same vein, a Council Legislator, Hon. Ajibola Badru urged the students to be focused, Determined and Hardworking to excel in their chosen carriers.

In attendance were Lagos Island Local Government Vice Chairman, Hon. Rosul Eshilokun, Majority Leader of the Legislative Arm of the Council, Hon. Qudus Davies, Councilors Taofeeq Omoibuowo, Ajibola Badru, Teachers, Students, Officials of the Foundation and a host of others.
