Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, Ondo State(RUGIPO) has declared that it was prepared to host the 2023 edition of the Nigerian Polytechnic Games Association (NIPOGA).
Speaking with newsmen on Monday in Akure, the Ondo State capital, the spokesman for RUGIPO, Mr. Samuel Ojo stated that the polytechnic was ready for the national polytechnic games.
He disclosed that the sports festival will hold from January 11 to 22, 2023 at the campus of the institution.
According to him, all necessary sporting facilities have been put in place to make the sports fiesta memorable.
Contingents of all participating institutions would begin to arrive for the games as scheduled in January next year.
He said: ‘We are set for the games. We have put in place all the necessary facilities and we are assuring participants that it is going to be a memorable outing.
“The state and the host community would benefit immensely from the festival which will hold from January 11 to 22, 2023.
“It will surely boost the economy of the state and the host community, Owo kingdom, especially the small-scale businesses situated around the institution.
” The LOC is working assiduously to ensure all the logistics are put in place to make the sports festival a remarkable one that would be remembered for a very long time to come.”
