A female lecturer at the School of Communication Studies, Lagos State University ( LASU), Monsurat Olasumbo Aiyegusi, has been officially pronounced a Ph.D. holder by the university authority.
She successfully defended her thesis for Doctor of Philosophy in Communication Studies within the week.
The thesis is titled: “Mother to Daughter Communication in the Adoption of Sanitary Pad Among Junior Secondary School Girls in Lagos.”
Monsurat who also had her first and second degrees at LASU, expressed joy on the completion of the programme on her Facebook waal.
She wrote: “To God be the glory, this is a blessing from Allah that I can never deny. Special thanks to my external examiner, Professor Oyewo (University of Ibadan, Department of Communication and Language Arts), my lead supervisor, Professor Olayinka Alawode, my co-supervisor, Dr. Adeniran Raheemat and my internal/external supervisor, Dr. Adeyinka Olarinmoye. My readers, Dr. Ganiyat Adenle, Dr. Okunnu Ganiu, Dr Omolade Sanni and Dr. Thanni Noheem.
