Chrisland University Secures NUC Nod To Admit Law Students For Current Academic Session

Chrisland University, Abeokuta was agog with excitement and jubilation following news from the Council of Legal Education granting the go-ahead for the Institution to admit students for its Law Programme for the current academic session.
The much-awaited approval by the Council comes on the heel of earlier verification by the National Universities Commission (NUC) which had approved the verification of the Law Programme as of March, 2022.
Last July, a delegation of the Council of Legal Education led by the Director-General, Prof Isa Hayatu Chiroma embarked on resource verification at the University’s College of Law.
However, news that the final go-ahead to commence the Law Programme was received on Wednesday.
The news sparked instant jubilation on campus by frontline officers of the University who stormed the Vice-Chancellor’s office where praises and thanksgiving unto God rented the air.
Addressing staff present, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Chinedum Peace Babalola disclosed that admission of the first set of Law students would commence immediately as prospective candidates can apply via the University’s portal: www.chrislanduniversity.edu.ng
Prof Babalola expressed appreciation to the Board of Trustees under the leadership of the Chancellor,  Dr. (Mrs) Winifred Awosika and the Governing Council for their commitment and support for the University’s growth and development, including the recent approval.
Among frontline officers present were the Registrar, Mr. Samuel Omotoso, Ag. Bursar, Mr. Moses Esah, Ag. Dean, College of Law, Dr. Folake Tafita, Director, Academic Planning, Prof. Shyngle Balogun, Sub-Dean, College of Law, Barrister Ibidun Olude and Principal Assistant Registrar(Estab and Council), Mr. Olusola Aladesuru
