As part of its dedication to the progress of education, the Ogun State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) has shortlisted 7,715 eligible teaching and non-teaching staff for elevation, having qualified for the year 2021/2022 promotion exercise.

This was revealed in the February 2023 monthly report of the Commission, signed by the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Waheed Olanloye, stating that the exercise was part of the agency’s statutory responsibilities, which included appointments, promotion, recruitment, discipline, posting, transfer, retirement termination, as well as payment of salaries and allowances of both teaching and non-teaching staff in the State.

The report stated that 2,424 teaching and 286 non-teaching staff had their promotion exercise for the year 2021, while 4,858 teaching and 147 non–teaching staff were captured for the year 2022 in the same exercise.

The report also indicated that the promotion exercise formed part of the major achievements of the Commission during the month under review, adding that the 2021/2022 promotion exercise was conducted across designated centers in the four divisions of the State.

The Commission in the report noted that it had resolved to enhance activities in its Zonal Offices, through the procurement of computer systems and consumables, while ensuring more conducive office accommodation for the use of staffers.
