Ensure  Objectives Of NYSC Scheme Are Realized, Faniyi Urges Lagos Corps Members

A former Deputy Director of Press and Public Relations and past State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Ogun State, Dr. Belinda Ameze Faniyi has called on the 2023 Batch “B” Stream II Orientation Course corps members to ensure that the objectives of the scheme are realized as change agents.
Dr. Faniyi gave the charge during her visit to the NYSC Lagos Orientation Camp in Iyana-Ipaja on Wednesday
She emphasised that corps members must strive to ensure that the scheme’s objective of national integration and unity is realized by relating with one another in a friendly manner, eschewing ethnic and tribal aversions.
Dr. Faniyi who is happily married to a Yoruba, referred to her marital life as one of the benefits she had out of her service year even though she was not a Yoruba.
She urged the corps members not to be afraid of cultivating lasting friendships and relationships.
Speaking on skill acquisition, she said the world is dynamic and as such they should acquire skills and have a change of mind about belittling any skill.
The eloquent ex-coordinator encouraged the corps members to take their postings in good fate and not influence it as they did not know the plan of God for their lives.
In her submissions on the core values of the scheme, she enjoined them to steer clear of unruly attitudes towards course officials so as not to have a problematic service year.
