Teachers’ Reward, A Catalyst For Educational Advancement- TESCOM Chairman

The Chairman, Ogun State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), Evangelist Olalekan Ifede, has described the recent reward for Teachers by the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, as catalysts that will boost educational advancement in the State.

Ifede stated this while reacting to the Governor’s gesture of rewarding outstanding teachers at the World Teachers Day celebration, saying it was imperative, to foster a culture of respect for teachers and recognize their tireless dedication and commitment to the betterment of the society.

He stated that ‘’as the world is changing at an unprecedented pace, technology is reshaping industries, economies are evolving, and global challenges demand innovative solutions, hence, we need well-prepared teachers who can navigate these changes and guide our students toward success’’.

‘’First and foremost, we must invest in our teachers because they are investments of our future. Teachers who feel valued and supported are more likely to inspire and educate the next generation effectively’’, he remarked.

He noted that it was necessary for the society to foster a culture of respect for teachers and equally recognize their tireless dedication and commitment to the betterment of society, adding that the society must celebrate their achievements and acknowledge the challenges they face daily’’, Ifede said.

He called all and sundry especially people in positions of authority to ensure that every child has access to quality education, while teachers have the resources and unflinching support to excel.

He appreciated the Governor, for the prompt release of promotion letters to qualified teachers, regular payment of salary, payment of peculiar allowances and other benefits.
